Stampin' Up Happiest Birthday Wishes

Good morning how are you?  I have a very busy day today.  My mum and dad are staying with us for a few days as my son Joseph has a hospital appointment in Bristol at 3pm this afternoon so they are here to help out with the other two.  I am also going to visit my downline and best friend Kelly as she has recently moved away.   I will be shattered tonight!!

Anyway it was my dads birthday over the Jubilee weekend and I didn't get his card in the post in time and it was going to be extremely late due to the extra bank holidays we had (not complaining though ;-) ) so instead of posting his pressies up I waited until yesterday to give them him.

I am loving grey at the moment so I automatically reached for the neutrals collection.  This card is so simple to do.  The sentiment is from the Happiest Birthday Wishes hostess set.  I stamped it in Versamark and heat embossed with White embossing powder.  The 'dad' is from the very useful For My Family set on page 85 in the catalogue.   The patterned paper is from the Designer Series Paper Packs and I love the tone on tone.  I embossed the Whisper White Circle with Square Lattice embossing folder.   The star has retired now but I still use mine so much I added Crystal Effects to give it a bit more dimension.

I hope you like the card.  If you are struggling with male cards I am running a Men's Card Class on the 2nd July.  Email me for details.

Thank you for looking.

Try Stampin' On Tuesday

Good morning how are you all today?   It's Tuesday so it can only mean one thing Try Stampin' On Tuesday!!!

We were given a lovely sketch this week - ideal for using up some of those scraps we seem to accumulate.  I did a very basic card using the new Tea Shoppe stamp set in the new mini.  I used some scraps of Crumb Cake, Pear Pizazz and some old retired paper.  I finished it off with a button and some Linen Thread.  Now I have made the card I have lots of ideas using the same sketch.

Why not pop on over to TSOT and join in.  I would love to visit your blog.

Stampin' Up Scrapbooking

Good morning how was your weekend?  We had visitors on Saturday and went out for a meal with friends yesterday.  The rain is pouring it down here today so I am having a chilled out day indoors.

I have a scrapbook page to how you today.  Scrapbooking has been put on the back burner the last few months and I have only really been scrapping at crop once a month.  I have so many photos to crop so I had a bit of  play over half term.  This is a layout of my son Jack and my gorgeous nephew George.  The patterned papers are from the Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack which I use all of the time.  The colours I used are Real Red and Tempting Turquoise.  The alphabet is my favourite alphabet of he catalogue - Alphabet Simple Letters.  It is £80.95 but if you take advantage of the hostess offer (top of the page) you could get this set for either half price or just pay 95p towards it!!!!!!!!!!

I won't list all of the products used but if you have any questions please just shout.

Thank you so much for visiting

Stampin' Up Bright Blossoms

Good morning how are you?  Hows the weather where you are?  We have next doors trampoline in out garden because of the wind.  The weather looks a bit better today so fingers crossed it stays that way.

I have a very simple card to show you today.  The colours used are Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade and Whisper White.   The sentiment is from Curly Cute which is a set I use all of the time.  The flowers are from the Bright Blossoms set in the new mini.  It is an absolute bargain set at £11.95 (clear).

The patterned Whisper White Cardstock, I made myself.  I used the new Simply Scored Diagonal plate.  It was so easy to do and gives a lovely effect.

I hope you like the card.

Thank you so much for visiting my little blog.

Stampin' Up Wisteria Wonder

Good morning how's the weather where you are?  I now have next doors trampoline in the garden because of the wind!!  We certainly won't be going anywhere today with this weather!!

I have another card to show you today in the colours of Wisteria Wonder.  The flowers are from Bordering on Romance.  The main image is from the beautiful Apothecary Art set which coordinates with the Framelits Dies. I finished the card off with some Ruffled Ribbon.   It was a very simple card to put together and took no time at all which was good as I made 4 the same as my MIL had requested some simple ones for her card box.

Thank you so much for visiting.  I have also updated my class list and have just sent my newsletter out - if you would like a copy please email me on laurameeksu@hotmail.co.uk.
